📦🚚 Yesterday was a day all about community collaboration. Bestway driver, Jay Warmuth and Howard Hatcher of the Knox County Health Department made important deliveries. 📦🚚 District 10 of the Healthcare Coalition (comprised of 12 counties in Southwest Indiana) was notified of a surplus of hospital protective procedure gowns in Scottsburg, IN at Scott Memorial Hospital. D10 then took survey of the need for these gowns in our area. Once learning of the need, Eli McCormick, President & CEO of Bestway Express said we would be happy to assist in retrieving and distributing these hospitals in the region. 17,600 protective gowns were picked up yesterday. Deaconess Gateway Hospital received 1,600 gowns. Ascension St. Vincent received 9,600 gowns. Deaconess Gibson Hospital received 3,200 gowns. KCARC volunteered to be a distribution hub for those locally receiving gowns. Good Samaritan will receive 6,400 gowns. The Knox County Health Department received 3,200 gowns to distribute. Thank you to our driver Jay Warmuth who helped make all of this possible. Bestway Express was happy to be a part of this community collaboration to get gowns to those in need.
